Kelly Cahn, AAA, is a seasoned art advisor, curator, and certified appraiser based in New York, with two decades of experience in the art world. She is the founder of Kelly Cahn LLC: Art Advisory and Appraisals, where she guides private collectors and corporate clients through art acquisitions, collection management, and appraisals.


Since 2005, she has held pivotal roles at leading organizations, honing her expertise in art sales, curation, and valuation. From 2006 to 2017, Kelly built her career at The Heller Group art advisory where she advanced to the role of Partner before establishing her own independent practice. She later served as Director of Private Sales at Sean Kelly Gallery, where she facilitated significant transactions for contemporary art collectors. Later, she was Vice President and Sales Director at LiveArt, an innovative private sales platform competing with major auction houses. Most recently, she held the role of Senior Curator and Director of Sourcing at On Approval, a corporate curation and e-commerce platform.


Kelly has been a USPAP-compliant appraiser since 2008, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism in her valuations. She is a certified member of the Appraisers Association of America. Certified Membership represents the highest level of accomplishment for members of the Appraisers Association. Certified Members have the most extensive level of expertise, qualifying education and a minimum of ten years of experience as an appraiser of personal property, specializing in the fine or decorative arts.


She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Tulane University and a Master of Arts in Modern Art, Connoisseurship, and the History of the Art Market from Christie’s Auction House in New York. 


Kelly has lived in New York since 2005 and remains deeply engaged in the arts community. She previously served on the ArtTable programming committee and mentors through Tulane University’s Innovation Institute.
